Roll call: P Cyman excused, Donald Rivera and Warren Bond present Treasurer’s report given by Warren Bond.
Reading of last meetings minutes read. Called for additions or corrections, hearing none, minutes will stand approved
Old business:
Storm drain cleaning: E mail from Carey Aron raised issue. Letter as to cost and summary of our action was discussed. The Board has discussion with the Sunrise City Engineer Sean Dineen who assured us that system was working well. W Bond explained lake level relation of drain capacity.
Notice to pressure clean or repair of shadow box fencing along 148th Avenue from SW 8 Street to SW 14 Street has found that all but a few have complied.
Fichus bushes along 148 Avenue from 8 street to 14 street have been trimmed to an even height (39 inches) and will be maintained.
Letters to homes along 8th street and Shotgun Road to trim back foliage over hanging the 6’ concrete wall have for the most part have been ignored. The original letter was dated 2-1-2013 given residences two months to complete the trimming. IT WAS MADE CLEAR THAT IF THIS WORK IS NOT COMPLETED WITHIN THE NEXT 30 DAYS THAT THE BOARD WOULD HAVE THE WORK DONE AND SPECIAL ASSESS THE PARTIES INVOLVED.
At that point questions from the audience were allowed. All were informed that each part would be given 4 minutes to present their thoughts.
Mr. Crowe complained about the violations he had received.
Mr. Klem complained about vehicles being parked in the street
R Murray and L Goldsworthy complained about a citation they had received from the City of Sunrise regarding in the swale.
New business:
Next meeting is 11-19-2013 Yearly dues notices will be mailed last week of November. 2014 dues will be $165.00 (Per By-laws Article 7 Section 3A)
Meetings for 2014 are 2-18, 5-13, 9-16 and 11-18.
